Consumption depends on the nature and roughness of the substrate, the type of tile(size, thickness, water absorption & porosity) and the installation technique (single or double spreading).

Mixing equipment

• Low speed electric single or double paddle mixer (300–400 rpm) with a spiral mixing paddle.

Application equipment

• Notched trowel

Mix each bag with the appropriate quantity of water (185-200 gm of water /1 kg of powder) using an electric mixer at low speed (~500 rpm) with a suitable mixing spiral in a clean bucket until you obtain regular consisitency without lumps.
After mixing, let the product sit for 2 to 5 minutes preferably, then stir the mixture briefly before application. The resulting mixture is very creamy and thixotropic and can easily be spread.

• Spread the adhesive mortar using a trowel, then adjust the thickness with a notched spatula (choice of teeth depending on the type of the tile and the flatness of the substrate).
• In the case of double spreading, coat the back of the tile with a thin layer of adhesive mortar.
• Within the open time limit, place the tile on the substrate and press strongly or beat it so as to expel the air and obtain good transfer of the adhesive mortar.
• Clean the tile with a sponge as soon as it is put in place.
• Avoid wetting an already applied adhesive with water.
• For any other type of substrates, please contact technical support.
• For laying tiles of a size equal to or greater than 900 cm² (e.g. 30x30 cm), it is always recommended to apply the double spreading technique.

Grouting

• Wait a minimum of 12 hours for the adhesive mortar to dry before grouting.
• Make the joints with Sika® tile Grout or SikaCeram® 405 jointing mortar.
