Usage

Sika Bitumen® -W is directly used for protection of foundations, basements and below ground concrete from salt attack.
It is used as a damp proof membrane.

Consumption

Consumption

0.35 – 0.40 Kg/m², 1st coat.
0.15 – 0.20 Kg/m², 2nd coat, depending on substrate porosity.
Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be clean, free from oil, grease, standing water and all loosely adhering particles.

MIXING

Add 10-20 % of water to Sika Bitumen® -W to first coat and stir it to achieve homogeneous consistency of the product.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean with water for non-hardened material, for hardened materials use Sika Thinner 2.
