Store out of direct sunlight, clear of the ground, on pallets protected from rainfall. Avoid excessive compaction and protect from extremes of temperatures. In tropical climates, the product must be stored in an air-conditioned environment.

Cementitious substrates must be structurally sound, with a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm² and a tensile strength of at least 1.5 N/mm². Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings, laitance, curing compounds, surface treatments, or any loose or friable material. Concrete substrates should be mechanically prepared (e.g. by shot blasting or grinding) to remove weak surface layers and achieve an open-textured profile suitable for bonding. The substrate moisture content must be ≤ 4% by weight. The substrate must be visibly dry and free from rising moisture in accordance with ASTM D4263. All construction joints and static cracks must be pre-treated with suitable Sikadur® or Sikafloor® epoxy resins before the full system application. Prior to mixing, stir Part A (resin) thoroughly for approximately 30 seconds. Add Part B (hardener) to Part A and mix continuously for ~3 minutes until a homogeneous blend is achieved. Use a slow-speed electric drill (300–400 rpm) fitted with a suitable mixing paddle to minimize air entrapment. During mixing, ensure that material from the sides and bottom of the container is incorporated by occasionally scraping with a flat spatula or trowel. To ensure complete and uniform mixing, transfer the material into a clean container and remix briefly. Avoid overmixing to prevent air entrapment.

Apply using a short-pile roller. One coat is generally sufficient beneath epoxy coating or flooring systems. For epoxy coating and self leveling applications, allow the primer to dry before applying the next layer. For epoxy mortar applications, place the mortar while the primer is still wet to achieve optimal bonding. On very porous substrates, a second coat may be required to fully seal the surface and prevent air release from the substrate. Ensure that the recommended overcoating intervals are observed between applications.

Clean all tools and equipment with a suitable solvent immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
