Usage

Plastiment® -RX/SRL is used where high quality concrete is required in difficult conditions, such as:
  • High temperatures
  • Long hauls
  • Ready- mix concrete
  • Waterproof concrete
  • Pre-stressed concrete

Shelf life

12 months from date of production if stored properly in undamaged and unopened original sealed packing.

Storage conditions

Store in dry conditions, protected from direct sunlight and frost.

Application

Application Information

Compatibility

Plastiment® -RX/SRL is compatible with all types of Portland cement including S.R.C.

When accidental overdosing occurs, this will have the effect of extending the setting time.
During this period the concrete must be kept moist in order to prevent premature drying out.

Dispensing

Plastiment® -RX/SRL should be dispensed directly into the mixing water prior to its addition to the dry mix.

Accurate dispensing equipment is readily available from Sika.

Consumption

Recommended Dosage

0.2 - 0.8 % by weight of cement.

Actual dosage rate required is dependant on: effect sought, quality of cement & aggregates, water/cement ratio and ambient temperature.

In many cases it is advisable to carry out trial mixes to establish the exact rate required.
