Usage

Plastiment® -RX/SR is used where high quality concrete is required in difficult conditions , such as:
  • High temperatures
  • Long hauls
  • Ready- mix concrete
  • Waterproofing concrete
  • Pre-stressed concrete

Shelf life

12 months from date of production if stored properly in undamaged and unopened original sealed packing.

Application

Application Information

Compatibility

- Plastiment® -RX/SR is compatible with all types of Portland cement including SR and HPF cements.

- When accidental overdosing occurs, this will have the effect of extending the setting time.
- During this period the concrete must be kept moist in order to prevent premature drying out.

Dispensing

Plastiment® -RX/SR should be dispensed directly into the mixing water prior to its addition to the dry mix.

Accurate dispensing equipment is readily available from Sika.

Consumption

Recommended Dosage

0.2 - 0.8 % by weight of cement.

Actual dosage rate required is dependant on: effect sought, quality of cement & aggregates, water: cement ratio and temperature.

In many cases it is advisable to carry out trial mixes to establish the exact rate required.
