Sika® Bitucoat®-M

RUBBER BITUMEN EMUSLION COATING

Sika® Bitucoat®-M one component bitumenous emulsion containing rubber, for the protection and damp proofing of concrete surfaces subject to attack from mild soil acids and salts
Suitable for use in hot and tropical climatic conditions

Usage

Sika® Bitucoat®-M is used to protect concrete surfaces that will subsequently be back filled such as:
  • Retaining walls, Basements and Foundations.
  • General waterproofing and damp proofing of concrete foundations that are in contact with groundwater.
  • Adhesive for insulating boards.
  • Separation coating for concreting work (bond-breaker).

Consumption

0.35 – 0.50 kg/m2 for 1st coat
0.15 – 0.30 kg/m2 for 2nd coat depending on substrate porosity
Application steps

MIXING

Add 5-10% of water to 1st coat.

Stir to achieve homogeneous consistency of the product. 

APPLICATION

By brush, roller.
Stir thoroughly before use.
Minimum 2 coats are required.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with soap and water, use Sika Thinner 2 to dissolve dried material.
