Job Purpose
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, compensation and benefits, training coordination, and compliance with UAE Labour Law. The role ensures effective delivery of HR services while contributing to employee engagement and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment activities for assigned positions.
Coordinate with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements.
Screen candidates, schedule interviews, and facilitate hiring decisions.
Prepare employment offers and employment contracts.
Coordinate onboarding and induction programs for new employees.
Maintain recruitment records and employee files.
Employee Relations
Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries.
Support the resolution of employee grievances and workplace issues.
Promote positive employee relations and engagement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback trends.
HR Administration
Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
Process employee lifecycle transactions, including confirmations, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Prepare HR letters and employment certificates.
Ensure employee files comply with legal and audit requirements.
Generate regular HR reports and workforce analytics.
Compensation & Benefits
Support payroll preparation by ensuring the accuracy of employee data.
Administer employee benefits, medical insurance, and leave management.
Monitor attendance, absenteeism, and leave balances.
Assist in salary reviews and annual compensation exercises.
Performance Management
Coordinate the performance appraisal process.
Track completion of performance reviews and development plans.
Support managers in implementing performance improvement initiatives.
Learning & Development
Identify training needs in collaboration with department managers.
Coordinate internal and external training programs.
Maintain training records and monitor training effectiveness.
Support employee development and succession planning activities.
UAE Labour Law & Compliance
Ensure HR practices comply with UAE Labour Law and applicable regulations.
Support visa, work permit, and government-related HR processes.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information and HR documentation.
Assist during internal and external audits.
HR Projects & Initiatives
Participate in HR policy development and implementation.
Support organizational development and change management initiatives.
Contribute to employee engagement, wellness, and culture programs.
Assist with HR system implementation and process improvements.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience
>5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the UAE.
Experience handling multiple HR disciplines in a generalist capacity.
Knowledge of UAE Labour Law and employment practices.
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
CIPD Level 3 or Level 5.
SHRM-CP or PHR.
Any recognized HR certification.
Required Competencies
Technical Skills
Good knowledge of UAE Labour Law.
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
HR reporting and data analysis skills.
